Zeroes and Ones unfolds as a luminous field of repetition, variation, and emergent rhythm. Set against a saturated yellow ground, the surface is activated by a dispersed constellation of circular and semi-circular forms—marks that hover between the symbolic and the gestural. These recurring motifs evoke the binary logic of the title, yet resist fixed legibility. Rather than functioning as literal code, they operate as carriers of energy: units of perception that accumulate, disperse, and reconfigure across the pictorial space.

The painting balances structure and improvisation. While the distribution of forms suggests an underlying matrix, the hand remains evident in every mark—each circle irregular, each color interaction responsive and alive. Layers of translucent and opaque pigment allow earlier gestures to remain visible, creating a sense of temporal depth, as if the painting records its own duration. The eye moves continuously across the surface, drawn into a process of scanning rather than resolution.

Color disrupts the binary implied by the title. Instead of opposition, the palette expands into reds, greens, violets, and oranges that vibrate against the dominant yellow ground. This chromatic complexity replaces digital clarity with a sensorial, embodied experience.

Within the artist’s broader practice, Zeroes & Ones extends an investigation into pattern and repetition as a visual language. Here, the binary becomes a metaphor—a means of exploring how simple forms, multiplied and varied, generate a field of perceptual and emotional resonance.
